Whether you are new to the sport, have been playing for a while, or want to take your game to the next level, we have the most frequently asked questions answered.
Since we became established in 2012, we have maintained our core philosophy and focus on developing and advancing every single trainee that we have worked with. Ball mastery and individual technical expertise are the main areas that we base our sessions around, with a clear cut focus on the player and player specific situations.

Yes of course. When booking your session(s) please let us know that you would like a Partner session or a Small Group session with team mates. The other players would need to fill out the media/training waiver and return it either via email or in person at the session itself.
Our current U7 age group of players is the youngest (6 years old). The skill level of the player(s) is/are irrelevant at this time, but as our clientele continues to expand, we will raise the base level of our trainees to intermediate (some level of training/a core understanding of the fundamentals or club play would be required).
When training with DCSP, you not only represent our philosophy, our programs and distinguishable technical style, but we also believe that our trainee should be able to represent those methods in and out of the session(s) with something that they are proud to wear and associate with their hard work.

Yes. You can book as many sessions as you would like; you can also block book training sessions of 4 or 8 at a time (or more if needed) that include a discount. We have clients that book for an entire season, keeping the consistency of high-level training throughout the year.

Basic to advanced
Developing the modern soccer player, from the very fundamentals of the sport to technical positional and tactical movement, is not easy. With record numbers of players looking to improve and evolve their game all year round, we wanted to focus on a core philosophy when developing every player that trains with us.
Our training is not based around standard pole and cone placement and mindless shooting or passing drills, but with set programs and techniques that are focused on the individual, improving their core intelligence, and evolving their overall game.
Program contents: Repetition of technical routines and skill sets in a tight amount of space, allowing the player an extreme amount of positional touches on the ball in a relatively short space of time.

Functional feet
Giving a player the confidence and the ability to dribble with a ball, a basic skill that is considered a fundamental when it comes to soccer, can also be one of the most exciting, dynamic, and symbolic ingredients in the game.
With a focus on manipulating the ball at high speed with both feet, creating angles of attack and defense, and applying game-day scenarios positionally specific to the trainee, having "good feet" can elevate an individual's overall game exponentially, allowing them an individual expressive freedom on the field and in training.
Program contents: Positional and situational application of game day scenarios. With a focus on scanning available options, correct body shape, explosive movement/dribbling and ball mastery.

Game ready |
Complete conditioning
Fitness, stamina, and conditioning-related exercises are crucial in developing and enhancing a player's physical abilities and attributes. With more and more demand being placed on a player's body in the modern game, including strength, speed, power, and endurance, it is ever more important to prepare and condition the body for the season ahead.
Areas of focus include resistance training, plyometrics, lateral movement, core cardio, and game-conditioned exercises relative to position or the overall game.
Program contents: Preparing a player for an upcoming season, tournament or rehabilitation from an injury, our Game Ready program consists of conditioning, ball mastery, resistance training and positional specific execution.

DCSP is a soccer performance and soccer skills development training service based in San Antonio, Texas. With a primary focus on player technical improvement and individual growth, as well as integrating basic to advanced motor functions for our trainees, we have blossomed over the years, helping to structure and develop players of all ages and all levels across the country.
